Our Approach
Our way of working, from idea to product
We build our products through Observe, Simplify, Build, and Improve. This page explains how we work and the principles behind our decisions.
Observe
A product idea starts with an everyday scene.
A delivery note waiting on a desk. "What happened to my file?" asked three times a day. Someone refreshing the same appointment page for the tenth time, looking for an open slot. We try to understand the day of the person living the problem. We listen for where the work gets stuck, what gets lost at that point, and how the process runs today. When a piece of work is being managed with a spreadsheet, a notepad, or memory, that is the clearest sign of a need still waiting to be met.
Working principle
We listen first, then shape the solution around what we learn from the people living the problem.
Simplify
We reduce the problem to its simplest, most useful core.
A product that tries to meet all needs at once loses its focus. We reduce the problem we observed to its smallest, clearest form; for our warehouse product, that means a movement can be recorded the moment it happens, and for our legal product, it means scattered daily tasks become visible. Simplifying also means clarifying scope; we state each product's focus openly on its page.
Working principle
We base the features we include on needs we have actually observed.
Build
Our priority is a workflow that works and fits into daily use.
We build first versions for daily use, focused on a specific need. We state each product's current status clearly, and we keep features that are live separate from goals still in development.
Working principle
We keep the site's information current and verified, and we mark future goals clearly.
Improve
A published product enters a new stage of development.
We collect feedback, watch how the product is used, and keep improving it. We share significant changes in our From the Lab posts.
Working principle
We shape product decisions from usage observations and feedback, and we announce significant changes clearly.
Our Principles
The principles behind our process
The steps describe how we work; the principles describe our approach within that process.
We focus on friction in how things work.
Problems seen in a law office, a warehouse operation, or an appointment process can happen in different fields yet share a similar shape. Information gets scattered, responsibility becomes unclear, and work gets delayed. We focus on the operational need before the scale of the industry.
We are product-focused
Our core work is building software products, publishing them, and owning them for the long term. We bring the same product discipline to custom work as well.
Current Product Status
We state each product's development status clearly on its page. We describe features that are live with verified information, and we mark future goals separately.
Simplicity That Fits Daily Use
Simple flows become a natural part of daily operations. We revisit steps that slow the process down and keep the product focused on the core need.
Let's talk about one of our products.
Tell us about the need you have in mind, and let's talk about how we would work on it.
