Data Protection Notice
Information under Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data (KVKK) about personal data that may be processed through techperlab.com.
This is the English version of our Turkish-language notice, prepared under Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data (KVKK). The Turkish text is the authoritative version; if there is any conflict between the two, the Turkish version prevails. You can read the original Turkish text here: Data Protection Notice (KVKK Aydınlatma Metni).
Identity of the Data Controller
The data controller for this site is Gökhan Eyigül. You can reach us at [email protected].
Categories of Personal Data Processed
When you contact us through the forms on the site or by email, we process your name and surname if you share them, your email address, and the content of your message. As part of the visit statistics on the site, we process the address of the viewed page, its query parameters (including UTM tags that show campaign source) and title, the referring address, browser, operating system, device type, screen resolution, browser-reported language, country, region, and city.
When you submit a form on the site, technical information about your browser and network environment may be processed by Cloudflare during the check that protects the form against automated submissions. This check does not write a cookie to your browser.
As part of the visit statistics, certain interactions on the site are recorded as events: viewing a product page (together with which product it was), clicking the email link, clicking through to a product's own site, and starting to fill in the form on the Share Your Idea page. These event records do not include names, email addresses, or phone numbers. They are stored in the same cookieless analytics tool alongside session statistics.
Method of Collection
Personal data is collected through the forms on the site and your email communications, while visit statistics are collected automatically through the analytics tool used on the site. There are two forms: the one on the contact page and the one on theShare Your Idea page. What you write in either is sent from your browser to our contact infrastructure running atform.techperlab.com, and both use the same protections.
Separately from these, when you click the language switcher your preference is stored in your browser. That record holds only the language code and is not sent to the server; you can find the details on the Privacy Policy page.
Purposes of Processing and Legal Basis
Data is processed to respond to contact requests, to provide information about our products, and to understand and improve the use of the site. This processing relies on the legal basis in Article 5(2)(f) of the KVKK, which permits processing personal data when it is necessary for the data controller's legitimate interests, provided this does not harm the fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject.
Recipient Groups
Messages sent through the forms are passed to the email service provider over the server infrastructure our form service runs on. Email correspondence is carried over that same provider's infrastructure. The security check on the form is performed by Cloudflare. Visit statistics are kept on the infrastructure used for site hosting and visit measurement.
Cross-Border Transfer
The site's hosting infrastructure, the server our form service runs on, and the Cloudflare service that performs the form security check all run on servers located abroad. The information you send through the form, and the technical information processed during the check, therefore pass through servers located abroad.
Form Security
The forms are protected against automated submissions with Cloudflare Turnstile. The check is carried out on the server; the result reported by the browser is not relied on, and the check does not write a cookie to your browser. To limit misuse of the form, your IP address is held briefly in memory only, and is not written to disk or to log files.
Retention Period
The form service does not keep your message in a database. The message is turned into an email and delivered, leaving no record on the service. Your name, email address, and message content are not written to server logs. Correspondence that reaches us is kept in our mailbox for a reasonable period after your request has been fulfilled and is deleted once it is no longer needed. Visit statistics are kept in a form that does not identify individuals.
Rights of the Data Subject
Under Article 11 of the KVKK, you have the right to learn whether your personal data is being processed, to request information about it if it is, to learn the purpose of processing and whether it is used in line with that purpose, to know the third parties to whom it is transferred domestically or abroad, to request correction if it has been processed incompletely or incorrectly, to request its deletion or destruction, and other rights set out in the law.
How to Apply
You can submit your KVKK requests to [email protected] from the email address you have previously provided to us and that is on our records. Your request should state your name and surname, your Turkish national identity number, your notification address, your email address if any, and the subject of your request.
